Beta Carotene is from the carotenoid group. The name beta carotene is derived from the Latin name for carrot.  It is a pigment found in plants that gives them their rich yellow and and oranges colors.  It can be found in fruits, vegetables & whole grains.

The body converts Beta Carotene into Vitamin A.  Therefore a Beta Carotene supplement can help with a Vitamin A deficiency.***  Our bodies need Vitamin A for normal vision and eye health, for normal skin and mucous membranes and to support a normal, healthy immune system.***
